TMQ Community Outreach

Community outreach is a core value of the guild. TMQ members provide quilts to multiple local Northern Nevada recipients while creating awareness of the craft to the public. In 2025, more than 500 quilts were delivered to local charities.

Quilts for Children

Members create and donate quilts appropriately sized for babies and children to a number of organizations throughout the community.

Quilts for Adults

Adult-sized quilts are donated to skilled nursing and rehabilitation centers, home health and hospice agencies, local shelters, and other social services in the community (listed below).

Opportunity Quilt

Each year, TMQ raffles a quilt to raise money in support of a local charity. Quilt lovers and TMQ champions are given the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for the chance to win a lovely quilt.

The first Opportunity Quilt for 2026 is shown below. The top was donated to TMQ. TMQ member Debbie Audenreid did the beautiful quilting work on it and Opportunity Quilt Chairperson Rochelle Walsh applied the binding. See this lovely quilt on display at Quilt Show Reno on June 11-13 at GSR.
